Hey, everyone! So .. here we are! It's been, well, an interesting journey to say the least, LOL. I enjoyed my time playing this game. It had it's high moments, and it had it's lows. More than anything, I liked meeting a majority of you and playing alongside you. If I don't already know some of you outside this game when we find out who everyone is, then I'll feel like I made some new friends, and that's always a great thing! I came into this game wanting to do one thing, and that's win. This has been a series I've wanted to do well in and be victorious in awhile now. My strategy coming in was to be social, first and foremost, above anything. I wanted to be everyone's best friend, basically. I wanted to be the person that people could label as fun and enjoyable to talk to daily, but not only that, someone to bring into an alliance, someone people felt they could 100% trust.
When the game kicked off, I feel like I did a great job at getting initial chats flowing and forming bonds. My activity helped me align with two great social players of our season: Candice and Casey. I knew that both of them would be forces during the season, in any aspect of the game. Hooking up with them and forming that early trio alliance is what I think set the foundation for me. Candice and I were basically connected at the hip. From my end, she was my top ally. She was someone I wanted to go deep into the game with. As we know, I evicted her at the F4, but it wasn't an easy decision in the slightest. I completely understood where Boog was coming from the week before in regards to not backdooring Candice, as she was a big threat, but I felt that if Candice were in the F3 with me, she would've taken me to the end over anyone, and that was confirmed when Candice left. Ugh. That was the hardest decision for me.
Boog was brought into the alliance shortly after, as she was showing challenge dominance and we felt including her would be beneficial. Not only that, but three of us got along well with her. On the side, I was cultivating relationships with Greg, Tahan and Russ. Greg, aside from Candice, was the best. I got along famously with Greg. When it came to this relationship and my alliance, I kept both worlds completely separate. I avoided telling them anything about Greg, and Greg anything about them, despite knowing that they didn't really care for one another whatsoever. My relationship with Russell progressed throughout the season too, and he became someone that I felt close to. However, I had my reservations, as I believed he was close with Casey. Which, leads me to why Candice and I branched out! She and I wanted to link up with Joey as a fallback, as at that time, felt we could use her if things went wrong in our other alliance.
Early on in the season, Casey's loyalty was questioned slightly during Calum's reign. When Casey had told me that Calum and the guys believed there was an all girl's alliance in the house, it not only meant that Calum had to go the following week, but it rose a flag to me that Casey knew this information for awhile and waited until the very end of the round to share it. It's there that I knew that Casey was playing hard socially, and had it going for him almost in every aspect of the house. But .. I didn't mind that, honestly. The fact that I had allied up with Candice and Casey meant that I could be the super social butterfly that I wanted to be .. if I threw competitions. I threw maybe a handful of competitions at the start of the season. I didn't try in them by purposely putting in faulty answers or not trying as hard. I was doing well in bonding with everyone, that had I won a competition early on, it could've limited my options in the house. In turn, Candice won a boatload of competitions, and became the huge target; she would be looked at before I ever was in the event someone undesirable won. It helped, and was proved when it was passed around that Calum was thinking of backdooring Candice.
As we all know, mid-Jury is when I started actually trying to win the competitions. I managed to pick up five Power of Veto victories, and two Head of Household wins. During my two Head of Household reigns, I took out two of my allies, but people I knew that I'd have a problem beating in the end. During Casey's reign, I had to seize the opportunity to boot Candice, as much as I hated doing it. Casey had shared something with me after I made my decision, and I feel like it really does apply here. It was that while although Candice was my girl, my main ally, I couldn't take her to the end knowing how the Jury felt based on what they said. I took her as far as I could take her. It was nothing personal to her, just strictly a game move.
I could go on and on, because I feel like there's alot to say, however, I'll leave it open to your guys' questions! I want to wish luck to you too, Joey! Congrats on F2 and let's finish the game off strong!
